Prayer for Year of Prayer

Lord our God,

you call us to seek your face in prayer, never turning us away.

Open our hearts to the concerns of our community;

open our ears to hear the cry of the needy;

open our eyes to see you at work around us;

open our hands to serve you without seeking reward.

Make us joyful in worship faithful in praying, bold in witness, and committed in service,

that in word and action we may play our part in bringing your kingdom of love to Surrey and its people,

for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
